Summary:

We are seeking an experienced strategy consultant to join our global team at the Project Manager level.

As Project Manager, you will provide oversight and leadership for a team of, typically, two to four Senior Consultants and Consultants – guiding the growth of individual team members and supporting the world’s biggest players and most exciting emerging companies to achieve sustainable success across the water, resource recovery, and energy recovery sectors.

Ideal candidates will have previous management consulting experience and demonstrated leadership in growing client relations, and people and knowledge development.

Based in our office in Philadelphia, PA – one of our eight offices globally – you will leverage your full command of the consulting toolkit to successfully manage project budgets, resources, and relationships. You’ll also have the opportunity to build on your proven leadership skills, including working closely with Amane Principals, Partners, and clients to ensure a positive, demonstrable impact.

What you need to make an impact:

As Project Manager, you’ll be leading teams in developing and supporting the execution of impactful business and technical strategies to support the client’s goals and progress the adoption of a more ‘circular’ economy.

To be successful, ideal candidates will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years experience in strategy consulting, ideally within a professional services firm
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge and experience in managing a variety of management consulting projects of differing sizes and scales (such as market analysis, due diligence, M&A strategy, financial advisory, digital innovation, or similar).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment, including experience in guiding the growth and development of less experienced team members.
  • A proven record of high performance and achievement in your past positions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization, including managing senior-level relationships
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Deep expertise and interest in our core practice areas, including water, resource recovery, energy recovery, waste management, and the broader sustainability sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a university with a consistently outstanding academic record; an Advanced degree or MBA is preferred. (Suitable fields of study may include Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, or similar)

Ideally, candidates should have experience working across borders, or have worked or studied in another country. The role requires excellent written and spoken English, although the ability to communicate in other languages is an advantage.

This is considered an ‘On-Site’ position. The nature of this role involves performing duties in-person, primarily from the Philadelphia office or other specified Amane office location a minimum of three days per week.

The role may also include both domestic and international travel to meet and work on-site with clients, attend industry events, or perform other duties as needed. This role may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, specifically the opportunity to be performed from other Amane offices internationally, as projects require/allow.
