OXFORD, United Kingdom – Amane Advisors, the premier global consultancy and advisory focused on the water industry, has served as the exclusive advisor to German specialty chemicals company LANXESS in the sale of its reverse osmosis membrane business to SUEZ, a world leader in sustainable resource management.

LANXESS continues to develop its portfolio and is reorganizing its water treatment technologies business to focus on its global business in ion exchange resins, primarily in markets for high-end applications. The sale of its reverse osmosis membrane business to SUEZ is part of this realignment. The membranes, which play an important role in the treatment of brackish and seawater, are being manufactured by LANXESS at its site in Bitterfeld, Germany. As part of the transaction, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2020, SUEZ will take over this plant and the affiliated research facilities with all employees. The purchase price is not being disclosed.
